Rick Owens for Zara A/W 2012

So its the begining of a new week and I have another project to think about. The breif for my new project is interesting and I cant wait to get stuck in! I have to pick a designer and a high street store to do a colaboration with, I have choosen Rick Owens for Zara. Rick Owens has always fascinated me as a designer, I love his simple and edgy designs and his muted colour pallet. In my opinion Zara is one of the leading high street stores when it comes to quality, price and beautiful pieces. I believe the two would create an interesting A/W collection. A general knowledge of the designer, the brand and the customer will be essential for this design project to be a sucess.

Alannah Cusack for Aine Knitwear A/W 2012

This is my entry for the menswear knitted accessory competition for Aine Knitwear. The theme for the range was exploration of the Tundra region, I was inspired by the use of animals skins and furs used to keep warm in the cold climate. My design as well as 3 others was choosen to be made into a prototype. This week the winner shall be anounced, wish me luck!!!

Rick Owens A/W 2011

This collection makes me wish for snow and loads of money. I want the money, to buy the whole collection. The snow, so it is cold enough to wear the collection. I love the quilted capes and sleeves, the dark wintery colours and the contrasting paneling. So if any body is reading this can I please have some money and some snow : )
