The Beach

I went to the beach recently and was suprised by how many jelly fish I saw. I am really inspired by these images. I would like to create new textiles based on the photos.

Pierre Molinier

I recently seen Pierre Molinier prints being auctioned on a programme, I found them dark, facinating and strange. The less graphic photomontages appealed to me the most especially the kaleidoscope-esque images.








However, learning more about Molinier makes me like his work less. His more graphic work freaks me out, the thought of buying one of his sperm filled pieces is slightly off putting ("~)

St. Joseph Street Prints

I did a selection of mono prints and etchings, based on a photograph I took of a railing on St. Josephs street in Limerick. I like the simplicity of the prints and really enjoyed the process.

My Favourite Face

16 year-old Dutch model Daphne Groeneveld was discovered in Amsterdam when a woman randomly approached her about starting a career. After just one year of modeling she has graced the cover of Vogue Paris with Tom Ford, walked in the Valentino, Chanel, and Dior Haute Couture shows in Paris, and received dancing lessons from Madonna for a Miu Miu ad campaign video. She lists Lara Stone and Doutzen Kroes as models she looks up to and admires. I think if Kate Moss and Lara Stone somehow had a child together this is what she would look like.

Re-Vamped Florals

I was begining to get sick of the itsy bitsy floral prints that flood the high street, time and time again. I am loving the new and exciting bloom offered by Erdem. I can almost smell the collection, it's sumptuous and elegant. Modern digital prints mixed with traditional applique creates a new look, this collection is celebrating the coming of Spring and Summer.
